Whether in town for just a couple days or hungry to celebrate the city in a fun new way, our Chinatown + Kensington Market Food Tour is the best way to explore Toronto’s most unique and delicious neighbourhoods.

In 2017, FORBES Magazine named our delicious Food Tour one of the Best 9 Food Tours in the World. [ Click here for the feature ]

Our dynamic Food Tour is filled with stories, history and the most multicultural bites Toronto has to offer. Designated a National Historical Site of Canada in 2006, Kensington Market has it all; historical Victorian homes, diverse food shops, restaurants along with an immense variety of used, surplus and vintage clothing shops.

Toronto’s Chinatown, first developed in the late 19th century, is now one of the largest in North America and one of several major Chinese-Canadian communities in the Greater Toronto Area.

Our cultural + culinary walk enjoys five (5) hearty and delicious stops.  We kick off in the heart of Toronto’s largest urban Chinatown, as we visit two (2) iconic restaurants featuring Asian comfort food and Toronto’s best Dim Sum. Then head to the dynamic Kensington Market, where you’ll enjoy three (3) spots ranging from local Canadian Artisan Cheese, Mexico City tortas, to a signature sweet dessert from the Queen of Kensington.

Discover these dynamic areas – jam-packed with culture, community traditions and unique delicacies. Join us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Culinary Adventure Co. experiences have been designed to highlight the best and most signature items from each of our vendors, shops and restaurants. Our partners showcase what they LOVE – their STORY – and ultimately the most delicious food/drink they want to share with our guests.

While we can accommodate severe food allergies (i.e. nuts, shellfish), Vegetarians and those who do not drink Alcohol, we cannot make substitutions for any other dietary concerns such as Gluten-Free, Celiac, Dairy-Free or Vegan.

Our approach is three-fold,

1) we host dozens of guests on our multiple Food Tours and Culinary Adventures each day, so selections need to be the absolute most iconic and best, while staying consistent for each visit,

2) many of our vendors don’t offer dietary substitutions, and

3) often the substitutions are simply not good enough, and not worthy of a Culinary Adventure Co. experience.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you are Gluten-free, we recommend our Escape the City: Canoe Paddle, Cheese + Cheers Class, Little India Food Tours, as those experiences have the fewest items that contain gluten.

If you are Vegetarian, the best experiences are our Chinatown + Kensington, Riverside + Leslieville, Little India, King + Queen West Brunch Food Tours and/or Escape the City: Canoe Paddle, Uncork the County, Cheese + Cheers, City Mouse or County Mouse.

If you HAVE SERIOUS FOOD ALLERGIES please email us or speak to our EZTIX ticketing agents before purchasing tickets for any of our food tours or culinary adventures.

Tickets to our tours, classes and adventures are non-refundable but you are more than welcome to send someone in your place. We are sure they will love you for it!

Our Tours run rain or shine, however all locations are fairly close together and the most time we will spend outdoors walking between stops is less than 10 minutes.
